South Australian driver blows 'nearly six times the legal limit'

A driver has blown nearly six times the legal blood alcohol limit after allegedly speeding through roadworks in Adelaide.
Road workers managed to stop the Mitsubishi van on Grand Junction Road, Hope Valley at about 9.20pm last night before calling police.
Officers said the driver recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.288 - nearly six times the legal limit for a fully licensed driver.

Police said checks also revealed the driver was allegedly suspended from holding a licence.
The driver was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and driving unlicensed.
He was also issued with a further 12 month instant loss of licence, had his vehicle impounded for 28 days and will appear in court at a later date.
